This book contains everything you need to know in order to achieve your full potential on the math SAT. It can be used as a standalone text or as a companion to the official practice tests published by the College Board. Written by an active math tutor, this book is the latest addition to his math prep books which have sold more than 26,000 copies.
-- The first part of this book is used to fill any gaps you may have in the math needed to answer problems in the official practice tests. Problems in the official practice tests are cross-referenced to math topics in this book. For each topic there is a lesson, homework problems, and answer explanations. The book covers 30 major topics, more than 80 sub-topics, and contains more than 400 homework problems and solutions.
-- The second part of the book contains advice about how to prepare and take the two math sections of the SAT. It includes setting a target score, guessing and skipping guidelines, how to optimize your time, and 7 useful problem solving techniques that you probably never learned in school.
A Guide to the Math SAT eBook Richard Corn
Richard Corn has updated his SAT math guide to reflect the revised test. This guide has a number of things I like. First, I like the organization. The topics are grouped in a logical manner. Second, I really like the variety and range of difficulty level of the problems. There is some really good practice in here. Third, this guide includes tips on getting the best use out of your calculator which most guides leave out. There are one or two topics I would have like to see covered more fully, but Mr. Corn has promised to add updates as released tests warrant. This guide is an excellent resource for students who are working with or without a tutor.

A Guide to the Math SAT eBook Richard Corn Reviews
This book is really helpful , technique description, also good practice questions. Recommended. My son got highest score after using it.
Very, VERY pleased with this purchase! As a 20 year HS Mathematics classroom teacher and parent of a current sophomore, it earns all 5 stars! All topics on the updated SATs are covered with a lesson review, and more importantly, authentic style practice questions for BOTH the now added non-calculator and the calculator section of the exam. It is perfect to focus in on specific topics in Algebra, Geometry, and even Trig, and examine multiple ways in which that concept may be tested. Great investment and resource.
Awesome Math book for SAT Math basics and practice. This book covers all SAT Math topics from Pre-Algebra to Trigonometry and is exhaustive in terms of providing examples, lesson plans and math exercises. My daughter got a lot of confidence after doing this book and is performing much better on SAT official tests.
I accidentally wrote a review for the old SAT Math Guide. This is the updated version for the New SAT and it's a perfect companion for students at ANY level. What's great about this book is that I can assign it to my students who are already in to 700s and students who are struggling in the 400s on the math portion of the new SAT. Students like that they're asked to answer questions without a calculator for simpler computations to help them feel more confident about their math skills. As the owner of a tutoring company, this was a natural choice because many of my ACT students really love the Ultimate ACT Math Guide by Richard Corn.
This was for my teenaged grand-daughter, she loves it.
Interesting!
